Having survived Cystic Fibrosis in childhood, Dr. Babcock believes in the possibility of healing, and transformation, and that “miracles” are actually very natural aspects of life, occurring every day. She honors healing and life as a journey, and offers assistance with that process. She aspires to facilitate and empower people to make healthier choices as old patterns are released.
Dr. Babcock received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Cum Laude, at Life University of Georgia in 1997. She received advanced certification in Network Spinal Analysis with Dr. Donald Epstein, the founder of NSA in 1997 as well, and continues to study with him regularly. Before relocating to Cape Cod in 1998, Dr. Babcock practiced on the Upper West Side of New York City.
As the founder and director of Harmony Network Chiropractic & Yoga, she draws from a wide range of experience in the healing and creative arts. Dr. Babcock graduated from undergraduate school with a BFA in painting from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1978, painting and performing in mask there, followed by nine years in New York City studying, performing and directing Off Broadway, and in television and film. Through these years she began the study of yoga, eventually, leaving the performing and visual arts to study yoga and meditation intensively in both the United States and India, training extensively in various yoga traditions including Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Anusara. As a yoga instructor, and as a Network Spinal Analysis practitioner, Dr. Babcock honors and incorporates these teachings as well as her meditation studies with Gurumayi Chidvilasananda in the Siddha Yoga tradition. She has been teaching yoga since 1986 in the United States, Europe, and India, and the Siddha Yoga Chanting and Meditation group of Upper Cape Cod meets in her home which she shares with her family -husband Richard Trachtenberg, and niece and nephew, Sarah and C.J. Kemp.
